Invite a collaborator to a single track¶
A collaborator is someone from outside your workspace (a featured singer, a mixer, a producer) who works with you on one track. Invite them by email from the track's Guests panel: once they accept with their own account, their workspace gets this track, and nothing else of yours. Collaborators are free and unlimited on every plan, the Free plan included.
What you need
Any plan, the Free plan included · the email of your collaborator's account · owner or admin of the workspace
Steps¶
-
Open Guests. On the track page, open Guests in the action bar.

-
Invite them by email. Click Invite, type your collaborator's email, add a note if you like, and send. The window recalls that their whole workspace gets access to this track.

-
Wait for them to accept. The invitation is listed under Pending Invitations until they accept it with their account.

-
They join this track only. Once they accept, their workspace appears in the Guest Artists panel. They get this track, and nothing else of your workspace.

Good to know¶
- Access is granted to the recipient's entire workspace, all its members included: to add someone to your own workspace instead, invite them as a member from the Workspaces page.
- A collaborator sees the track's versions, comments and status, and works with you on them.
Transcript
Here's how to invite a collaborator to a single track, without giving them your workspace. Open the track, then Guests. Click Invite, type your collaborator's email, add a note if you like, and send. The invitation waits here until they accept. Once they accept, they appear in Guests. They get this track, and nothing else of your workspace. They need a free account to accept, and collaborators are free and unlimited, on every plan.
FAQ¶
Does my collaborator need an account?¶
Yes, a free one, to accept the invitation. Their workspace then gets this track, and nothing else of yours.
How many collaborators can I invite?¶
As many as you need. Collaborators on a track are free and unlimited on every plan, the Free plan included.
What is the difference with a member of my workspace?¶
A member works in your whole workspace and counts in your plan's seats. A collaborator only gets the tracks they are invited to, and costs nothing.
